Kenya transit eTA will permit transit activities and exploration of Kenya during layover time. You will need an onward ticket to apply for Kenya transit eTA. It is a single-entry and non-extendable eTA. The validity period is 3 days (72 hours).

Kenya eTA Stay Duration and Validity
The validity period of single-entry Kenya eTA is 90 days (3 months). With an approved Kenya eTA Chilean citizens can plan to stay for 90 days in Kenya. The validity and stay duration apply to family visits, business, and tourism travel. Therefore, plan your stay within the eTA validity period to avoid overstaying consequences.
Documents Required to apply Kenya Visa for Chilean Citizens

- A Chilean passport (which should be valid and must have a blank page).

Each kid traveling to Kenya must obtain a separate eTA. The application process is similar, but a few additional documents are required to process the kid’s Kenya eTA application. A valid passport, recent colour photo, birth certificate and legal guardianship document are the must-have documents when applying for Kenya eTA for kids.
If the kid is accompanied by only one legal guardian or parent, then a signed consent letter is mandatory. So, The kid’s eTA application can be submitted by their parents or legal guardians. Other supporting documents include travel proof such as a return ticket, a parent’s or legal guardian’s passport copy and financial proof.
Multiple-Entry Kenya Visa Options
If you are planning to visit Kenya frequently, then the multiple-entry choice is an effective option. It is a cost-effective and time-saving option because it permits several entries till its validity period. The advantage is that you can skip the Kenya visa-acquiring process for each entry.
The Kenya One-Year Multiple Entry Visa is valid for one year (12 months) with a stay duration of three months (90 days) for each entry. The visa permits long-term business activities, family visits and tourist trips. It is a non-extendable visa, so keep track of its validity and plan your entire stay within the permitted length of stay.
The East African Tourist Visa is designed for tourism purposes only. The validity period of the visa is 90 days. Moreover, it grants multiple entries between the three countries (namely, Uganda, Kenya and Rwanda). Visitors can explore the three countries for 90 days, but an extension of the visa is not possible.
Application Process of Kenya Visa for Chilean Citizens
The application process is quick, simple and entirely online. Therefore, to submit their Kenya eTA application form, Chilean citizens can follow the steps below.
- Access the official and trustworthy Kenya eTA website.
- Based on your travel purposes, select the right eTA type.
- Start providing the required details (personal, travel and passport details).
- Upload all the required document copies (check if the scanned copy is clear and in the correct format and size).
- Check your application form to ensure every detail is accurate and correct.
- Pay the eTA fee online (check the exact fee and payment methods in advance)
- Submit the form and wait for approval.
The processing time for the Kenya eTA application form is 3 days (around 72 hours), but last-minute submission and errors in the application form might delay the process. If approved, the eTA will be sent to your email ID. Even though it is not mandatory, it is advisable to have a print copy of your Kenya eTA.
