Kenya eTA Options for Belgians

Two Kenya eTA types as of 2025 are there. One can be obtained for single-entry and others are obtained for multiple entry purposes

Single-Entry Kenya

Single-entry Kenya eTAs are for citizens who are looking to visit Kenya only once. Belgian citizens can obtain single-entry eTAs such as the Kenya tourist eTA, Kenya business eTA, and Kenya transit eTA and each has to be obtained for a specific purpose.

Kenya Tourist eTA: Probably the most obtained one. The Kenya tourist eTA is an online Kenya visa that grants single entry in Kenya for Belgians coming to Kenya for tourist purposes or to visit families and friends.

Kenya Transit eTA: The Kenya Transit eTA is another online Kenya visa for Belgian citizens for 72 hours.  A Belgian citizen traveling to another country other than Kenya can obtain this visa if they have Kenya in between their route and they plan to exit the airport.

Kenya Business eTA: Citizens of Belgium who are to come to Kenya for a business trip must have a Kenya business eTA. This is a single-entry Kenya business trip visa and cannot be used to seek any employment in Kenya

Multiple-Entry Kenya Visas

Belgian travelers who are looking for multiple visits in Kenya also have options. The East African Tourist Visa and the Kenya One Year Multiple Entry Visa are two Kenya eTA types that grant Belgian citizens multiple entries in Kenya.

East African Tourist Visa

This is an online visa for Kenya that gives Belgian citizens an opportunity to travel to Kenya and also to Uganda and Rwanda. So, with this single visa, Belgian citizens get the opportunity to travel to the other two countries as well.

This visa grants Belgian citizens multiple entries into Kenya. However, citizens of Belgium must know that they would first have to come to Kenya and from Kenya they can proceed to the other two countries.

Kenya One-Year Multiple Entry eTA

The Kenya One-Year Multiple entry visa is an option for Belgian travelers who are required to come to Kenya for multiple visits. It can be for frequent business meetings that happen in Kenya or tourist explorations that require time and seasonal visits

It is important for Belgian travelers to be aware that this Kenya eTA prohibits them from staying in Kenya for longer than ninety days straight. Since this visa is valid for a year, they can use the Kenya One-Year Multiple Entries eTA to return, but they must leave Kenya within ninety days.
