Indian Visa for Citizens of the Netherlands

Due to the introduction of the Indian electronic visa in 2014, travelling to India as a Dutch citizen has proven straightforward. By simply filling out the online application form and attaching a few necessary documents, citizens of 166 different nations can apply for an Indian visa from the comfort of their homes. The total process does not take more than 5 minutes to conclude.

The Netherlands offers three different travel options for its citizens: business, tourism, and scientific travel.

Travelling to India is a wonderful way to explore its countless attractions and culinary delights. From countrywide parks, flora and fauna safaris, white sand seashores, and non-secular mystic websites to diverse real galas, enormous temples, caves, forts, and sculptures, India provides endless options for a wonderful journey.

Do holders of Netherlands passports require a visa to enter India?

Before traveling to India, holders of Netherlands passports must obtain an Indian visa. However, the advent of online visa applications has eliminated the cumbersome process of making appointments with embassies or consulates and the lengthy waiting times for authorized visas to arrive.

Because there is no longer a need to wait in lengthy lines at the airport, this process is even quicker than obtaining a visa upon arrival.

The three primary categories of Indian eVisas offered depend on the purpose of the visit.

The Dutch tourist visa to India allows for two entries throughout its one-year validity period, allowing for consecutive stays of up to 90 days from the date of entrance.

The Dutch citizen’s Indian business visa is valid for a year from the date of issuance, supports duplicate entry, and allows for extended continuous stays of up to 180 days in total.

While the Indian clinical visa for Dutch citizens has a shorter validity period, up to 60 days from the date of issue, it still allows for triple entries and consecutive stays of up to 60 days.

Indian visa application from Dutch nationals

Although the application window is accessible up to 120 days in advance, travellers must apply at least 4 days before the intended adventure to obtain an India visa from the Netherlands. The online India visa application form is simple to complete and asks for basic personal information, passport details, and security questions, including full name, starting together with the passport’s expiration date.

Travellers can anticipate a response within 2 to 4 days of completing the application form, paying the net visa fee, and attaching the required documents. The authorized visa will be sent to the provided email address; it must be printed and brought when you get there to the airport.

The application may also take longer to process or be denied altogether if there are faults or missing files.

Indian visa holders can currently enter through 29 airports and 5 seaports. Visitors must enter India using the same passport they used to obtain an electronic visa. Always having a copy of the approved visa while visiting India is very helpful.

If you want to stay longer than the allowed days, vacationers should remember that the Indian digital visa can’t be extended or transformed.
