Fishing and Hunting Permits

This permit is applied for by individuals who are planning to take part in fishing or hunting when visiting the country. Generally, an individual must be 18 years or above to take part in the activity. 

Next, they must have an Outdoors Card, which is necessary to hunt or fish in Ontario. The card must be valid for at least 3 years and not less. The individual will also need a fishing and wildlife license. The fishing license is either for conservation or sport. 

Individuals looking to hunt in Canada must also have a firearms accreditation if they are using a gun for the activity, with the necessary tags and stamps. You can get yours from Ontario’s Fish and Wildlife Site. 

However, if you are planning to fish just for a day, then you won’t require an Outdoors Card.
