Kenya Single Entry eTA Types and Validity

The validity of the eTA is 90 days (which is 3 months). So, you can stay up to 90 days in Kenya. Extending the tourist eTA is possible.
Kenya business eTA is a single-entry permit for Cambodian nationals visiting Kenya for business and related activities. If you are attending business conferences, site or client visits or participating in trade shows. Then you can choose the Kenya business eTA. It is a short-term permit and does not allow long-term business or employment activities. It has a 90 day validity period with an extension option and permits a 90 day stay duration (3 months) in Kenya.
Kenya transit eTA is for visitors who are transiting through the country and intend to visit Kenya while on a layover. Visitors who remain within the Kenya airport premises are exempted from Kenya transit eTA. The validity period is 72 hours and the application must be submitted at least 3 days (72 hours) before the travel date. It is a single-entry eTA. Visitors intending to stay beyond 72 hours must apply for a different Kenya eTA.
Multiple-Entry Kenya Visa for Cambodian Citizens
Those taking multiple visits to Kenya can look for multiple-entry visa options; it is an economical option and also saves visitors effort and time. With a multiple-entry Kenya visa, you can exit and re-enter Kenya many times till the visa’s validity period.
Kenya One-Year Multiple-Entry Visa types are for visitors who require multiple visits to Kenya. It is a flexible visa option that is valid for 12 months (one year) and permits tourism, family or friend visits and business trips. This visa is convenient for those who plan multiple visits to Kenya within 12-month periods because you do not need to get a Kenya eTA or visa before every visit.
Please note that the stay duration for Kenya One-Year Multiple-Entry Visa for each entry is 3 months (90 consecutive days). It is a non-extendable visa, and after its expiry, you need to apply for a new visa.
East African Tourist Visa type is a distinct visa that permits Cambodian citizens to visit three countries, Rwanda, Kenya and Uganda, using a single visa. Therefore, this visa option is suitable for visitors planning to explore all three countries in a single trip. However, it can be used only for tourism activities and cannot be used for work, employment or study purposes.
The visa permits seamless travel between the three countries within its 90-day validity period and it cannot be extended. For an East African Tourist Visa, travelers need a detailed travel itinerary covering all three countries.
Kenya eTA Online Process
Cambodian passport holders can now complete the Kenya eTA process online. So, to apply for Kenya eTA, have all the documents ready and follow the below steps.
- Visit the Kenya eTA portal or website.
- Select the eTA type and start filling out the online eTA application form.
- Enter the correct information in each entry field (do not leave any entry field blank in the online form).
- Check the scanned copy of the documents and upload them correctly.
- Thoroughly verify the details and submit the eTA form.
- Use an approved payment method to pay the Kenya eTA fee online (check the fee beforehand).
- Wait for the approval.
To check the Kenya eTA status online, you will need the eTA application number and passport details that you provided in your application. After receiving your eTA save it as a digital copy. After that download it for getting a physical copy.
Kenya eTA Processing Time
Mostly, all the Kenya eTA applications will be processed within 72 hours (three working days). To avoid last-minute delays, consider applying early (at least 5-7 days before the departure date). Check the email because once approved, the eTA is sent to the applicant’s email ID.
